DOT’s activities have their roots in India in 2011 when Monique Wisse, employed as business development and project manager, participated in an international trade mission. The many opportunities she observed between people, businesses and markets were her drivers to take action and think out how opportunities could be realized.
While working in India she experienced that turning these opportunities into reality for a company without representation in-country could be challenging. Especially taking into account developing a business relation in a new country with a different (business) culture, local market opportunities and constraints, time difference and physical geographical distance.
Moreover Monique is interested in the activities of stakeholders involved and to get an understanding how value could be added to the existing environment to make international business ambitions happen.
It became a dream to play a key role in connecting people, businesses and markets and to actually make it happen. How DOT can add value is by providing over 5 years of experience in the Philippines, canalizing knowledge and understanding of the local market and being locally present .
Since 2011 Monique has been working to make DOT’s international business mission happen. In 2015 this resulted in opening a company in The Philippines. ‘Today DOT has been assisting companies of medium, large and corporate size in realizing - part of - their international business ambitions by sharing experiences, developing knowledge continuously and implementing client projects while being locally present.’
